Sunday re-start

I know a lot of people who don't like Sundays.  They don't like that it is the end of a weekend and the start of a new work week.  I can understand that, especially if you're in an office all week.  I work from home, and as a real estate broker, so Sunday is a busy day for me.  What I love about Sundays is that even if your week wasn't great, you can use Sunday to plan for ways that next week can be better.

I really like to have a plan.  I love writing down to-do lists and checking stuff off of it.  I never used to be a planner, but as I get older (and especially with a child), planning really makes a huge difference.   I still like old-school to-do lists, paper planners, etc.  When I write it down, I remember it better.

Here are some of my favorite items for making life easier

I recently started working out again at the gym.  Having a well stocked gym back helps a lot!  It makes it easier not to have any excuses!  The best part is that this bag in green is on sale for only $29.99 and is the exact same bag that I use.

This app is awesome because if you need to log miles for work, this app will automatically detect and log your drives and then you can classify them.  This will save you a lot of time and hassle!

The Simplified Planner (I like the Daily Edition) by Emily Ley is amazing.  I use the calendar app in my iPhone to log my appointments and to share our family calendar, but every Sunday night I write out my to-do list in my planner as well and write daily to-do lists.  When I see my day planned out, it's easier to stay on track.

It's SO much easier getting everything done when I have energy.  This drink gives me energy without making me feel jittery.  The energy comes mostly from B12, which I find that I'm lacking and this drink is loaded with B12 and lots of other great vitamins!  Plus it only has the amount of caffeine that is in a cup of coffee, which for me is great because it doesn't make my heart race like too much coffee does.

I also find that when I remind myself WHY I am working hard, it makes it easier to motivate myself.  My 'why' is my son and my family.  I want to be successful so that I can support him properly and give him the best life possible.  I am self-employed, which means lots of planning and long hours, but I hope someday that it means I can retire young enough to travel, and a vacation home.  A girl can dream ;)  What's your reasons why for motivating yourself to do better? What tips and tools do you use?
