Post-Pregnancy Weight Loss & AdvoCare

My last post was about AdvoCare and pregnancy, and I had planned to write more, but our gorgeous son arrived 3 weeks early!  It was a complete surprise, and a bit scary, because he had to spend 11 days in the NICU until he was ready to come home...but he is home, and he is PERFECT!  All the nurses commented on how he is one of the most adorable babies they'd seen...and they see a lot of babies!  I'm a proud mama, so I have to brag!  I would love to post a picture of my sweet boy, but my boyfriend and I are against pictures of children on the internet.  I know it's personal opinion, but we prefer to keep things private.  You just never know in life, and we don't want to take any chances with our beautiful boy!

Now that he's here, and he's home safe,  I am focusing on being a great mama to him, being a great girlfriend to my wonderful & supportive boyfriend, and also to getting myself back in shape!  Thanks to AdvoCare, I know I will be back in shape in no time!

Right now I'm drinking Spark, Rehydrate, Meal Replacement Shakes, the Fiber Drink, and taking Catalyst, OmegaPlex, and CorePlex, and my boyfriend and I put our son in the stroller every day and go for walks.  I've been so lucky to have had a quick recovery given all we went through to bring him into this world, and going for walks gives our baby some fresh air and helps get me back in shape.  We take it easy, as all moms should right after giving birth, but I feel so much better after a little exercise. Make sure you check with your doctor before starting any diet or exercise's really important because what's okay for one person might not be for another person.

I'm also very lucky that my lupus has not flared-up post-pregnancy...and during my pregnancy, the lupus stayed calm too.  I attribute a lot of that to taking care of myself with good vitamins and supplements and having great medical care.  My son was born early due to unexpected and sudden preeclampsia, which happens in healthy women and was not related to the lupus at all.  Thankfully, since he was born, my blood pressure has gone back to normal and I'm feeling great!  Being a mom is amazing, my boyfriend is an incredible dad (which I knew already!), and we are so happy!  I am so blessed.
