CRP levels and the common cold...

Who knew the common cold could make your CRP levels higher?  I didn't.  I had my 3 month appointment today and they did my blood test and my CRP level had gone from a 0.5 to a 3.8.  Of course I panicked.  Luckily I am very blessed to have a close family friend who is a doctor who assured me that because I have a bad cold right now, that infection can cause inflammation which raises the numbers.  He didn't think it was cause for concern right now, and neither did my doctor.  I have to go back 2 weeks after I am 100% better from the cold and get a re-test, just in case.  But otherwise she was VERY happy with my progress!  She thought I was doing great!  :)
